the information within may be fine, but there is NO mention that this is a mini book! it cant be more than 3" by 6" tall and it's thin. fine if you need it for your pocket as you go out exploring, but we should know about that prior to making our purchase. fyi

Good book about trees. The only downside is that it only has information about trees in America.

I like some of this Book but in a way it's not that Great it could have been better. The reason I say it could be better because in many ways the book is named "What's That Tree" & all the Book shows is for example is if I look up Douglas Fir tree which is on page 23 & 112 all it shows is the stalk aka branch where the Pin cone grows on is all it shows like inch of the Branch & the Pine Cone but you would think on page like 112 it would show you more of the tree like maybe the Trunk but all it shows is the same picture of the tree that's on page 23 but a smaller size of it and on page 112 all it shows is the picture of the but on page 23 it shows the same picture along with other kinds of trees but both same pictures of pines firs est. on 112 or 23 same pictures just on page 23 it has maybe 2 sentences describing the tree like the Douglas firs a fast growing tree Bark color est. tells how tall they grow. But its like the most common trees you would see it doesn't show me pictures of a Chinese Elm AKA Lacebark Elm which I bought book for doesn't show Yellow Poplar tree. I can go on but that's just some of it I wish this book would show every trees seed in it that is in this book I know it wont tell every tree in the world that's obvious but come on the book is 128 Pages & half the book our the just duplicates of that same tree like took the same Picture & added it twice once in the front of book describing it a little and the back just the same picture and nothing more. like shows the western Red seeder tree but not what the seed looks like. So the book is mainly 64 pages of pictures and some describing the tree not including Gloss index est.

This is going to be brief...The book walks you through the lab project and asks you to record your observations and/or calculations, but in my humble opinion they could've given more detailed instructions with the project setups. In other words, this is where the instructor comes in and fills in the gaps. To get this for personal use is not necessarily a good choice as there are other more exciting books out there, though for school use it is good enough. I own it, I am going for an electronics major, I personally thought this book was good, but not great.
